Xerodermia pigmentosa

Tratamiento:

Los niños con este problema necesitan protección completa de la luz solar. Incluso, la luz que entra a través de las ventanas y lámparas fluorescentes es peligrosa.

Cuando la persona tenga que salir con sol, debe usar ropa protectora.

De la misma manera, es necesario usar protectores solares buenos con factor de protección solar 30 o mayor y utilizar anteojos muy oscuros con protección contra luz ultravioleta. El médico puede prescribir medicamentos para ayudar a prevenir ciertos cánceres de piel.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

La mayoría de las personas afectadas por este problema mueren de cáncer de piel a comienzos de la vida adulta.
