Síndrome de Ehlers-Danlos - Síntomas

Síntomas:

  • Dislocación articular
  • Dolor articular
  • Aumento de la movilidad articular, crujido en las articulaciones, artritis temprana
  • Hiperlaxitud ligamentaria
  • Pies planos
  • Piel que se estira, presenta equimosis y se daña fácilmente
  • Piel muy suave y aterciopelada
  • Cicatrización fácil y curación de heridas deficiente
  • Ruptura prematura de membranas durante el parto
  • Problemas de visión

Signos y exámenes:

En el examen médico se puede observar:

  • Laxitud articular excesiva e hipermovilidad articular
  • Piel suave delgada o hiperextensible
  • Prolapso de la válvula mitral
  • Periodontitis
  • Signos de insuficiencia de agregación plaquetaria (las plaquetas no se aglutinan adecuadamente)
  • Ruptura de intestinos, útero, pulmones o globo ocular (se ve solamente en SED vascular, el cual es raro)
  • Córnea deforme

Exámenes:

  • Tipificación del colágeno (realizada en una muestra de biopsia de piel)
  • Prueba de mutación del gen de colágeno
  • Actividad de lisil oxidasa o de lisil hidroxilasa
  • Ecocardiografía (Ecografía o ultrasonido del corazón)
