Síntomas:

Las manchas mongólicas son marcas cutáneas benignas y no están asociadas con enfermedad alguna. Estas marcas pueden cubrir una gran área de la espalda.

En ciertas ocasiones, las manchas mongólicas azules son confundidas con hematomas, lo cual puede originar la inquietud acerca de posible maltrato infantil . Lo importante es reconocer que las manchas mongólicas azules son marcas de nacimiento y NO hematomas.

Los síntomas abarcan:

• Manchas azules o azul-grisáceas en la espalda, los glúteos, la base de la columna, los hombros u otras áreas del cuerpo
• Área plana con forma irregular y bordes poco definidos
• Textura normal de la piel

Signos y exámenes:
