Dermatitis herpetiforme
Definición:
Es una erupción cutánea extremadamente pruriginosa compuesta de protuberancias y ampollas. La erupción es crónica, lo que significa que continúa durante un perÃodo de tiempo prolongado.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:
La dermatitis herpetiforme generalmente comienza en personas de 20 años de edad en adelante, aunque puede afectar algunas veces a los niños. Esta afección se observa tanto en hombres como en mujeres.
Se desconoce su causa; sin embargo, la dermatitis herpetiforme frecuentemente está asociada con la sensibilidad al gluten ( enfermedad celÃaca ) en el intestino delgado.
