Síntomas:

En general, la dermatitis herpetiforme es extremadamente pruriginosa y las vesículas o ampollas aparecen usualmente en los codos, las rodillas, la espalda y los glúteos. En la mayoría de los casos, la erupción es del mismo tamaño y forma en ambos lados. Los síntomas de este tipo de dermatitis tienden a ser intermitentes.

Signos y exámenes:

En la mayoría de los casos, se realiza una prueba de inmunofluorescencia directa y una biopsia de piel. El médico puede recomendar también una biopsia de los intestinos.
