En su mayor parte, no existe una forma de prevención conocida.

Las mujeres embarazadas deben ser extremadamente cuidadosas de no manipular ninguna sustancia que contenga hormonas masculinas. Igualmente, es importante que una mujer embarazada verifique antes de tomar cualquier tipo de medicamento o suplementos como prasterona.
