Una inspección de los genitales externos puede mostrar:

  • Clítoris agrandado
  • Un lado de los labios mayor que el otro o labios inusualmente grandes en ambos lados
  • Orificio vaginal extremadamente cerca de la uretra o del ano
  • Uretra localizada sobre el clítoris

Una inspección de la vagina puede mostrar:

  • "Pared" anormal de tejido (tabique) en la vagina que puede dividirla parcial o completamente de forma horizontal o vertical

  • Labios pegados (fusionados)
  • Vagina ausente o parcialmente formada
