Definición:

Es un tumor ovárico que segrega la hormona masculina testosterona u otras hormonas.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

Se trata de un tumor poco común que representa menos del 0.5% de todos los tumores ováricos.

Estos tumores se encuentran en mujeres de todos los grupos de edades, pero son más comunes en las mujeres jóvenes.
