Síntomas:

Los quistes vaginales normalmente no causan síntomas, aunque puede haber una tumoración suave que se siente en la pared vaginal o que protruye de la vagina. Algunas mujeres con quistes vaginales pueden tener molestias durante la relación sexual o dificultad para insertar los tampones.

Signos y exámenes:

En el examen pélvico, el examinador puede ver o sentir una masa o una protuberancia en la pared vaginal. Se puede requerir una biopsia para descartar el cáncer vaginal, en especial si la masa parece ser sólida.

Si el quiste está localizado por debajo de la vejiga o la uretra, puede precisarse una radiografía para asegurarse de que el quiste no comprometa estas estructuras.
