Síntomas:

  • Sangrado después de la relación sexual
  • Sangrado y secreciones vaginales indoloras
  • Dolor vaginal o pélvico

Aproximadamente del 5 al 10% de las pacientes son asintomáticas.

Signos y exámenes:

En pacientes sin ningún síntoma, el cáncer se puede encontrar durante un examen pélvico de rutina y una citología vaginal.

Otros exámenes para diagnosticar los tumores vaginales comprenden:

  • Biopsia
  • Examen de la pelvis

Si una citología vaginal resulta anormal, pero el médico no puede ver problemas con la vagina durante un examen pélvico, se puede realizar una colposcopia.
