Adenomioma; Endometriosis interna
Es un engrosamiento uterino que se produce cuando el tejido endometrial, que normalmente recubre el útero, se pasa a las paredes musculares externas del mismo.
La causa se desconoce. Algunas veces, la adenomiosis puede causar una masa o tumor dentro del útero, denominada adenomioma.
La enfermedad por lo general se presenta en mujeres mayores de 30 años que han tenido hijos. Es más probable en mujeres que hayan tenido una cesárea u otra cirugía uterina antes.
