Problemas del pezón - Síntomas

Síntomas:

  • Sensibilidad de las mamas
  • Secreción transparente, lechosa, sanguinolenta o de color verdoso o marrón
  • Incremento de la temperatura superficial en una porción de la mama
  • Secreción del pezón
  • Dolor que ocurre con o sin presión sobre la mama
  • Enrojecimiento, sensibilidad y/o grietas en la superficie de la piel del pezón.
  • Inflamación de alguna porción de la mama ( masa mamaria)

Signos y exámenes:

El médico tomará la historia clínica y llevará a cabo un examen físico.

  • Se pueden realizar exámenes de sangre para verificar el nivel de prolactina y la función tiroidea.
  • Se realiza una biopsia de mama si se encuentra una masa o protuberancia o si la secreción está ocurriendo espontáneamente, sin presión alguna sobre la mama.
  • En algunos casos, se puede hacer evaluación citológica (estudio celular) de la secreción del pezón.
  • Generalmente, se realiza una mamografía si la causa no es obvia.
