Prevención:

Se debe ser coherente acerca de las reglas y consecuencias justas en el hogar e igualmente no se deben aplicar castigos muy severos o incongruentes.

Al niño se le debe dar ejemplo de los comportamientos correctos. El maltrato y el rechazo incrementan las posibilidades de que se presente este trastorno.
