Trastorno fonológico - Treatment

Tratamiento:

Las formas más leves de este trastorno pueden desaparecer espontáneamente.

La logopedia puede servir para los síntomas o problemas del lenguaje más graves que no mejoran. La terapia puede ayudarle al niño a crear el sonido, por ejemplo, mostrándole dónde colocar la lengua o cómo poner los labios al hacer el sonido.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

El pronóstico depende de la edad en que comenzó el trastorno y de cuán severo es. Muchos niños finalmente desarrollan un habla casi normal.

Complicaciones:

En los casos graves, el niño puede tener problemas para hacerse entender, incluso por miembros de la familia. En los casos más leves, el niño puede tener dificultades para hacerse entender por parte de personas por fuera del entorno familiar inmediato. Como resultado, se pueden presentar problemas con la interacción social y el desempeño académico.

  • Aún es difícil entenderle hacia la edad de 4 años
  • Aún no puede producir ciertos sonidos hacia la edad de 6 años
  • Está omitiendo, cambiando o sustituyendo ciertos sonidos a la edad de 7 años
  • Está teniendo problemas del habla que lo hacen sentirse preocupado o avergonzado a cualquier edad
