Prevención:

La vacunación de rutina es altamente efectiva en la prevención del sarampión y las personas que no reciben la vacuna o que no la reciben completa están en alto riesgo de contraer la enfermedad.

La inmunoglobulina sérica administrada 6 días después de la exposición al virus puede reducir el riesgo de desarrollar el sarampión o disminuir la gravedad de la enfermedad.
