Es posible que durante la palpación, el médico detecte en el niño un masa abdominal (a nivel del estómago). Una radiografía con ingestión de bario también puede revelar la presencia de una masa en el estómago y algunas veces se puede utilizar un endoscopio para visualizar el bezoar directamente.
