Caput succedaneum - Síntomas

Síntomas:

  • Inflamación suave y abultada del cuero cabelludo del recién nacido.
  • La inflamación puede o no tener algún grado de hematoma.
  • La inflamación se puede extender sobre la línea media de la cabeza.
  • Se ve con más frecuencia en la parte de la cabeza que se presenta primero en el parto.
  • Puede estar asociada con un amoldamiento aumentado de la cabeza.

Signos y exámenes:

El examen físico confirma si la inflamación es un caput succedaneum y no se requiere de ningún otro examen.
