Tratamiento:

No se requiere de ningún tratamiento y generalmente sana de manera espontánea en unos pocos días.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

Puede esperarse una recuperación total, en la cual el cuero cabelludo recobra su contorno normal.

Complicaciones:

Se puede presentar ictericia a medida que la contusión se descompone en bilirrubina.

Esta condición se observa inmediatamente después del parto, así que no es necesario llamar al médico, a menos que se tengan preguntas adicionales que hacerle.
