Metatarso aducto

Definición:

Es una deformidad del pie en la cual los huesos de la mitad de éste se doblan hacia el cuerpo.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

Se cree que el metatarso aducto ocurre como resultado de la posición del bebé en el útero.

Esta es una enfermedad relativamente común que afecta a cerca de uno de cada 1.000 a 2.000 nacidos vivos. Entre los factores de riesgo están una afección denominada oligohidramnios en la que la madre no produce suficiente líquido amniótico en el útero.
