Inflamación de párpado

Tratamiento:

La limpieza diaria y cuidadosa de los bordes del párpado ayuda a eliminar los aceites de la piel que causan la proliferación excesiva de bacterias. El médico podría recomendar el uso de champúes para bebés o productos limpiadores especiales. Los ungüentos antibióticos también pueden ayudar.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

Con tratamiento, el pronóstico probable es bueno. Es posible que se necesite una higiene continua en el párpado para prevenir problemas repetitivos. El tratamiento continuado hará que los ojos estén particularmente menos rojos y más cómodos.

Complicaciones:

  • Orzuelos
  • Chalazión
  • Lesión al tejido ocular (úlcera corneal) por la irritación
  • Inflamación de la superficie del ojo (conjuntivitis)
  • Pérdida de pestañas
  • Cicatrización de los párpados

Situaciones que requieren asistencia médica:
