Síntomas:

La atrofia del nervio óptico ocasiona que la visión se opaque y se reduzca el campo visual. La capacidad para ver detalles finos también se pierde. La reacción de la pupila a la luz disminuirá y finalmente se puede perder.

Signos y exámenes:

La atrofia del nervio óptico se puede observar durante un examen oftalmológico completo. La evaluación incluirá exámenes de:

Pérdida del color
Reflejo pupilar a la luz
Tonometría
Agudeza visual

Usted puede requerir un examen físico completo y exámenes específicos.
