Seudotumor orbital - Symptom

Nombres alternativos

Síndrome inflamatorio orbital idiopático (IOIS, por sus siglas en inglés)

Síntomas:

Dolor en el ojo que puede ser intenso
Restricción del movimiento ocular
Disminución de la visión
Visión doble
Inflamación del ojo (proptosis)
Enrojecimiento del ojo (raro)

Signos y exámenes:

Los signos del seudotumor se pueden observar al examinar el ojo. Se pueden hacer exámenes para diferenciar entre un seudotumor y un tumor canceroso y problemas oculares que puedan ocurrir en personas con enfermedad tiroidea.

Los exámenes pueden abarcar:

Tomografía computarizada de la cabeza
Resonancia magnética de la cabeza
Ecografía de la cabeza
Radiografía del cráneo
Biopsia del tumor
