Fenestración

Definición:

Es una abertura o ventana. Por ejemplo, un tratamiento quirúrgico para problemas de audición es hacer una abertura artificial, o fenestración, en cierta parte del oído. La fenestración alguna vez se utilizó para tratar la otosclerosis , un crecimiento óseo anormal en el oído medio que ocasiona pérdida de la audición, pero actualmente se utiliza muy poco.
