Un saco delgado y lleno de líquido aparece en el interior del labio. Dicho saco es azuloso y transparente. El saco es indoloro pero molesto.
El saco también se puede presentar en la lengua, el paladar, dentro de las mejillas, en el piso de la boca o alrededor de perforaciones (piercings ) en labios o boca.
El médico generalmente puede diagnosticar un quiste mucoso simplemente al observarlo.
