Anquiloglosia

Definición:

Es una afección que ocurre cuando el movimiento libre de la lengua está restringido.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

La anquiloglosia es una afección en la cual el tejido adherido a la base de la lengua (frenillo lingual) se encuentra demasiado corrido hacia adelante en la lengua, dificultando el movimiento de ésta.

Si el tejido se extiende hasta la punta de la lengua, se puede observar una hendidura en forma de V. La anquiloglosia puede causar problemas con la alimentación, con los dientes y con el lenguaje.
