Síntomas:

Los síntomas más comunes son ronquera y dificultad para hablar, al igual que dificultad para deglutir que también puede ocurrir.

La lesión tanto al nervio laríngeo derecho como al izquierdo es una situación urgente que puede llevar a que se presente dificultad respiratoria.

Signos y exámenes:

La laringoscopia y la broncoscopia le permiten al médico ver si las cuerdas vocales tienen un movimiento anormal, lo cual generalmente significa que hay una lesión en un nervio laríngeo.

Se puede tomar una radiografía o una TC del tórax para detectar cualquier problema en el tórax que pudiera ser responsable de la lesión.
