Síndrome de Noonan - Treatment

Tratamiento:

No hay un tratamiento específico. El médico sugerirá un tratamiento para aliviar o manejar los síntomas. La hormona del crecimiento se ha utilizado con éxito en algunas personas con este síndrome para tratar la estatura baja.

Posibles complicaciones:

  • Acumulación de líquido en los tejidos corporales (linfedema, higroma quístico)
  • Retraso en el desarrollo en los bebés
  • Autoestima baja
  • Infertilidad masculina en los que presentan los dos testículos no descendidos
  • Problemas con la estructura del corazón
  • Estatura baja
  • Dificultades sociales relacionadas con los síntomas físicos

Esta afección se puede detectar en los primeros exámenes que se le hacen al bebé. Con frecuencia, es necesaria la evaluación por parte de un genetista experimentado para determinar el diagnóstico de este síndrome.
