Eyaculación retrasada - Overview

Definición:

Es una afección médica en la cual el hombre es incapaz de eyacular, ya sea durante la relación sexual o con estimulación manual en presencia de una pareja. La eyaculación es la acción en la cual se libera el semen desde el pene.

Causas:

La mayoría de los hombres eyaculan al cabo de unos cuantos minutos después de iniciado el acto de la relación sexual, pero los hombres con retraso en la eyaculación pueden ser totalmente incapaces de eyacular en algunas circunstancias (por ejemplo, durante la relación sexual) o pueden eyacular sólo haciendo un gran esfuerzo y después de una relación sexual prolongada (por ejemplo 30 a 45 minutos).

La eyaculación retrasada puede ser producto de causas físicas o psicológicas:

Las causas psicológicas comunes abarcan:

  • Un contexto religioso estricto que lleva a la persona a ver el sexo como algo pecaminoso
  • Falta de atracción por la pareja
  • Condicionamiento provocado por patrones únicos o atípicos de masturbación
  • Eventos traumáticos (como el ser descubierto al masturbarse o teniendo sexo ilícito o al saber que la pareja tiene un romance fuera de la relación)

Pueden estar involucrados algunos factores, como ira hacia la pareja.

Las causas físicas pueden abarcar:

  • Uso de ciertos medicamentos (como Prozac, Melaril y guanetidina)
  • Enfermedad neurológica como un accidente cerebrovascular o daño nervioso a la médula espinal o la espalda
