Obstrucción de la salida de la vejiga - Symptom

Síntomas:

Los síntomas de la obstrucción de la salida de la vejiga pueden variar, pero pueden abarcar:

  • Dolor abdominal
  • Sensación continua de una vejiga llena
  • Demora para comenzar la micción (disuria inicial)
  • Micción frecuente
  • Incapacidad para orinar (retención urinaria aguda)
  • Dolor al orinar (disuria)
  • Flujo urinario lento
  • Infección urinaria
  • El chorro de orina comienza y se detiene (intermitencia urinaria)
  • Despertarse en la noche para orinar (nicturia)

Signos y exámenes:

Si se sospecha que existe una obstrucción de la salida de la vejiga, el médico elaborará una historia completa de los problemas. Durante un examen físico, el médico puede encontrar una o más de las siguientes causas posibles:

  • Masa abdominal
  • Cistocele (en las mujeres)
  • Distensión de la vejiga
  • Agrandamiento de la próstata (en hombres)

Los exámenes pueden abarcar:

  • Análisis bioquímico de la sangre para buscar signos de daño renal
  • Cistoscopia con uretrografía retrógrada (una radiografía) para buscar estrechamiento de la uretra
  • Ecografía para localizar el bloqueo de la orina y averiguar qué tan bien está vaciando la vejiga
  • Análisis de orina para buscar sangre o signos de infección en la orina
  • Urocultivo para verificar si hay infección
  • Uroflujometría para determinar qué tan rápido sale la orina del cuerpo
  • Pruebas urodinámicas para ver qué tanto flujo de orina está bloqueado y qué tan bien se contrae la vejiga
