Signos vitales - Información general

Definición:

Los signos vitales son signos físicos, como el ritmo cardíaco, la frecuencia respiratoria, la temperatura y la presión sanguínea, que indican que un individuo está vivo y se pueden observar, medir y vigilar para evaluar el nivel de funcionamiento físico de una persona. Los signos vitales normales cambian según la edad, el sexo, el peso, la tolerancia al ejercicio y la enfermedad.

Valores normales para un adulto sano promedio:

Temperatura: 36,5-37,2º C (97,8-99,1 grados F)/promedio de 37º C (98,6 grados F)

Respiración: 12-18 respiraciones por minuto.

Pulso: 60-80 latidos por minuto (en reposo)

Presión sanguínea:

  • Sistólica: menos de 120 mm de mercurio (mm Hg)
  • Diastólica: menos de 80 mm Hg
