Factor intrÃnseco
Definición:
Es una proteÃna producida por glándulas en el revestimiento del estómago y es necesario para que los intestinos absorban la vitamina B12 .
Una falta (deficiencia) de suficiente factor intrÃnseco puede ocasionar anemia perniciosa . Tales deficiencias pueden ser causadas por la extirpación quirúrgica del estómago, trastornos hereditarios u otras enfermedades.
