Vitamina B6

Definición:

Es una vitamina hidrosoluble. Las vitaminas hidrosolubles se disuelven en agua y el cuerpo no las puede almacenar. Las cantidades sobrantes de la vitamina salen del cuerpo a través de la orina; eso quiere decir que la persona necesita un suministro continuo de tales vitaminas en la dieta.

La vitamina B6 ayuda al sistema inmunitario a producir anticuerpos , los cuales son necesarios para combatir muchas enfermedades. Asimismo, esta vitamina ayuda a mantener la función neurológica normal y a formar glóbulos rojos. El cuerpo la utiliza para ayudar a descomponer las proteínas y, por lo tanto, cuanto mayor sea el consumo de proteínas, mayor será la necesidad de vitamina B6.
