Efectos secundarios:

La deficiencia de ácido fólico puede causar retraso en el crecimiento, encanecimiento del cabello, inflamación de la lengua (glositis), úlceras bucales, úlcera péptica y diarrea. También puede llevar a ciertos tipos de anemias.

Por lo general, el consumo de cantidades excesivas de ácido fólico no causa daño, ya que esta vitamina es eliminada regularmente del cuerpo a través de la orina.
