Dieta y fluoruro
El agua fluorada se encuentra en la mayoría de los sistemas de acueductos de las comunidades (el agua de pozo con frecuencia no contiene suficiente fluoruro).
Los alimentos preparados con agua fluorada contienen fluoruro. El fluoruro de sodio natural se encuentra en el océano, por eso la mayoría de los mariscos lo contienen. El té y la gelatina también contienen fluoruro.
Los bebés lactantes obtienen el fluoruro a través del consumo de leche materna o leches maternizadas (fórmulas).
