Los niveles excesivamente altos de fósforo en la sangre, que son raros, se pueden combinar con el calcio para formar depósitos en los tejidos blandos, como los músculos. Estos casos ocurren solamente en personas con nefropatÃa severa o muy mal funcionamiento en la regulación del calcio.
