Seguridad con los alimentos

Definición:

La seguridad con los alimentos se refiere a las condiciones y hábitos que preservan la calidad de los alimentos para evitar su contaminación y las enfermedades a causa de  intoxicación alimentaria .

Funciones:

Los alimentos se pueden contaminar de diversas maneras y algunos de ellos pueden ya tener bacterias o parásitos. Los gérmenes se pueden diseminar durante el proceso de empacado si el producto no se maneja adecuadamente. El hecho de no cocer o almacenar los alimentos apropiadamente puede causar una contaminación adicional.

Por lo tanto, la preparación y el manejo apropiado de los alimentos reducen notablemente los riesgos de contraer una enfermedad por intoxicación alimentaria .
