Sobredosis de píldoras anticonceptivas - Información general

Definición:

Las píldoras anticonceptivas, también llamadas anticonceptivos orales, son fármacos de venta con receta diseñados para prevenir el embarazo. La sobredosis de píldoras anticonceptivas se presenta cuando alguien accidental o intencionalmente toma más de la cantidad normal o recomendada de este fármaco.

Elemento tóxico:

La mayoría de las píldoras anticonceptivas contienen una de las siguientes combinaciones de las hormonas estrógeno y progestágeno:

  • Diacetato de etinodiol y etinilestradiol
  • Diacetato de etinodiol y mestranol
  • Levonorgestrel y etinilestradiol
  • Acetato de noretindrona y etinilestradiol
  • Noretindrona y etinilestradiol
  • Mestranol y noretindrona
  • Mestranol y noretinodrel
  • Norgestrel y etinilestradiol

Las siguientes píldoras anticonceptivas contienen sólo progestágeno:

  • Noretindrona
  • Norgestrel
