Monóxido de carbono - Síntomas

Síntomas:

Cuando uno inhala monóxido de carbono, el tóxico reemplaza el oxígeno en el torrente sanguíneo y, como consecuencia, el corazón, el cerebro y el cuerpo sufrirán por la falta de éste.

Los síntomas varían de una persona a otra y quienes están en mayor riesgo comprenden niños pequeños, ancianos, personas con enfermedad cardíaca y pulmonar, personas en grandes altitudes y fumadores. El monóxido de carbono puede causarle daño a un feto (bebé que aún se encuentra en el útero).

Los síntomas de la intoxicación por monóxido de carbono pueden ser:

Problemas respiratorios, incluyendo ausencia de la respiración, dificultad respiratoria o respiración rápida
Dolor en el pecho (que puede ocurrir repentinamente en personas con angina)
Coma
Convulsiones
Mareo
Somnolencia
Desmayo
Dolor de cabeza
Hiperactividad
Deterioro del juicio
Presión arterial baja
Irritabilidad
Debilidad muscular
Latidos cardíacos anormales o rápidos
Shock
Náuseas y vómitos
Pérdida del conocimiento
