Extirpación de un tumor mamario - Risks

Riesgos:

Los riesgos de cualquier cirugía son:

  • Sangrado.
  • Infección.
  • Reacciones a los medicamentos.

Los riesgos de este procedimiento son:

  • La apariencia de la mama puede cambiar. Después de la cirugía, se pueden notar depresiones, una cicatriz o una diferencia en la forma de las dos mamas.
  • También se puede presentar entumecimiento en el área de las mamas.

El tejido mamario que se extirpa se examinará bajo un microscopio después de la cirugía. Si el cáncer está demasiado cerca del borde de este tejido, se puede necesitar otro procedimiento para extirpar más tejido mamario.
