Expectativas después de la cirugÃa:
Los pacientes tienden a recuperarse rápidamente después de una apendicectomÃa simple y la mayorÃa salen del hospital en 1 a 3 dÃas después de la operación. Las actividades normales se pueden reanudar en 1 a 3 semanas después de salir del hospital.
Si se ha formado un absceso o el apéndice se ha perforado, la recuperación es más lenta y más complicada.
El hecho de vivir sin el apéndice no causa problemas de salud conocidos.
