Reparación de hernia umbilical - Recovery

Después del procedimiento:

La mayoría de las reparaciones de hernias umbilicales se hacen de manera ambulatoria, lo cual significa que usted probablemente regresará a su casa el mismo día. Algunas reparaciones pueden requerir una corta hospitalización si la hernia es muy grande.

Después de la cirugía, el médico y la enfermera vigilarán sus signos vitales (pulso, presión arterial y respiración). Usted permanecerá en el área de recuperación hasta que se estabilice. El médico le recetará analgésicos si usted los necesita.

El médico o la enfermera le mostrarán cómo cuidar de su incisión o la de su hijo en la casa. Usted o su hijo deben ser capaces de realizar todas sus actividades normales en 2 a 4 semanas.

Pronóstico:

Siempre existe una posibilidad de que la hernia pueda reaparecer. Sin embargo, para pacientes saludables, este riesgo es muy bajo.
