Después del procedimiento:

Usted puede tener mucho dolor después de la cirugía a medida que el área se tensa y se relaja. Le pueden dar medicamentos para aliviar este dolor.

Gradualmente retorne a sus actividades normales. Evite levantar o halar cosas o la actividad extenuante hasta que sus glúteos hayan sanado. Esto incluye esfuerzo durante las deposiciones o la micción. Para evitar el esfuerzo, necesitará usar ablandadores de heces. Coma más fibra para facilitar las deposiciones y beba de 8 a 10 vasos de agua al día.

Remojarse en un baño caliente (baño de asiento) puede ayudar a aliviar el dolor. Siéntese dentro de 3 a 4 pulgadas de agua caliente unas cuantas veces al día.

La recuperación completa debe darse en aproximadamente dos semanas.

Pronóstico:

La mayoría de las personas evolucionan muy bien después de la cirugía de hemorroides. Usted aún deberá tomar medidas para ayudar a evitar que las hemorroides reaparezcan. Consumir una dieta rica en fibra, tomar mucha agua y evitar el estreñimiento pueden ayudar.
