Expectativas después de la cirugía:

Por lo general, el resultado es muy bueno en la mayoría de los casos. Para prevenir la recurrencia, se deben tomar medidas preventivas tales como mantener una dieta rica en fibra y evitar el estreñimiento.

Convalecencia:

El paciente puede experimentar mucho dolor después de la cirugía a medida que el ano se tensiona y se relaja, para lo cual se pueden usar medicamentos analgésicos. Los ablandadores de heces se usan para prevenir cualquier esfuerzo durante las evacuaciones. Se deben evitar los esfuerzos durante la defecación o la micción. Los baños de asiento con agua tibia igualmente pueden brindar alivio adicional. La recuperación completa se puede esperar en unas dos semanas.
