Después del procedimiento:

Las reparaciones de tendones con frecuencia se pueden hacer en centros de atención ambulatoria y la hospitalización, en caso de ser necesaria, es corta.

La cicatrización puede tomar de 6 a 12 semanas, tiempo durante el cual la parte lesionada puede necesitar inmovilización con una férula o yeso. Típicamente, el movimiento retorna de manera gradual con terapia para proteger el tendón a medida que va sanando.

Con frecuencia, se necesita tratamiento después de la cirugía con el fin de minimizar el tejido cicatricial y maximizar el uso del área lesionada.

Pronóstico:

La mayoría de las tenoplastias son exitosas con la fisioterapia apropiada, llevando al uso funcional de la articulación.
