Expectativas después de la cirugía:

El paciente sentirá algo de dolor y malestar durante varios días después de la cirugía, lo cual puede manejarse con analgésicos. El descanso con las piernas y caderas dobladas puede reducir la presión sobre el abdomen durante el período de 1 a 3 días de hospitalización recomendado.

Convalecencia:

El uso de un soporte elástico similar a una faja sobre el abdomen por dos o tres semanas proporciona apoyo adicional durante el proceso de cicatrización. Se debe evitar la actividad agotadora y hacer esfuerzos durante cuatro semanas.

Durante los 3 a 6 meses siguientes, las cicatrices se volverán más claras en color y más planas.
