Después de la cirugÃa, pueden aparecer sobre la piel pequeños vasos sanguÃneos rotos en forma de puntos rojos diminutos que suelen ser de menor importancia pero permanentes. La cicatrización no es visible si se realiza desde el interior de la nariz, pero puede haber unas pequeñas cicatrices usualmente no visibles en la base nasal cuando el procedimiento se realiza para reducir las fosas nasales anchas.
Rara vez, se necesita un segundo procedimiento para corregir una deformidad menor.
