Los riesgos de cualquier cirugía son:

  • Sangrado
  • Infección
  • Hematomas

Después de la cirugía, pueden aparecer sobre la piel pequeños vasos sanguíneos rotos en forma de puntos rojos diminutos que suelen ser de menor importancia pero permanentes. No quedan cicatrices visibles si la rinoplastia se realiza desde el interior de la nariz. Si el procedimiento se realiza para reducir las fosas nasales anchas, pueden quedar unas pequeñas cicatrices en la base de la nariz que por lo general no son visibles.

Rara vez, se necesita un segundo procedimiento para corregir una deformidad menor.
