Expectativas después de la cirugía:

La cirugía es necesaria para:

  • Permitir que el niño desarrolle el control urinario normal
  • Evitar problemas futuros con la función sexual
  • Mejorar la apariencia física del niño
  • Evitar una infección que podría disminuir la función renal

Algunos niños no son capaces de desarrollar el control urinario suficiente y pueden necesitar una nueva cirugía posteriormente.

Convalecencia:

Después de la cirugía de los huesos pélvicos, será necesario colocarle al niño un yeso o cabestrillo en la parte inferior del cuerpo, lo cual ayuda a la cicatrización de los huesos.

El tiempo de permanencia del niño en el hospital depende de:

  • La gravedad del defecto vesical
  • El número de cirugías que se necesiten
