Reparación de hipospadias - Recuperación

Expectativas después de la cirugía:

El paciente generalmente se recupera después de la cirugía y es posible que se requieran varias operaciones.

Convalecencia:

Inmediatamente después de la cirugía, el pene se fija con cinta al abdomen para que no se mueva. Se pueden suministrar medicamentos para aliviar el dolor. Se estimula al niño para que tome líquidos con el fin de mantener la diuresis, lo cual evita la presión sobre la uretra.

La cirugía generalmente se lleva a cabo en forma ambulatoria. Es posible que el niño requiera la colocación de un catéter urinario durante un tiempo después de la operación.

Después de salir del hospital, el niño debe continuar tomando mucho líquido para orinar con mayor frecuencia y debe evitar la actividad vigorosa hasta que sane por completo.
