Expectativas después de la cirugÃa:
Después de la adenoidectomÃa, la mayorÃa de los niños presentan menos dificultades para respirar por la nariz, al igual que irritaciones de la garganta e infecciones del oÃdo menos frecuentes y más leves.
En muy pocos casos, el tejido adenoide puede volver a crecer después de haberse extirpado, pero esto por lo general no causa problemas.
Convalecencia:
La recuperación completa del paciente toma alrededor de 1 semana. Durante el perÃodo de cicatrización, el niño puede presentar congestión nasal, flujo nasal e irritación de la garganta. Los alimentos blandos y las bebidas frÃas pueden ayudar a aliviar la molestia en la garganta.
