Expectativas después de la cirugía:

Después de la cirugía, se pueden taponar herméticamente (rellenar con materiales de algodón) ambos lados de la nariz para evitar hemorragias nasales. El material generalmente se retira de 24 a 36 horas después de la cirugía.

Convalecencia:

Para ayudar a sanar, se debe evitar sonarse la nariz o contener la respiración y tensionar los músculos al hacer fuerza durante la defecación, por algunos días después de la cirugía. La aplicación de compresas de hielo sobre la nariz puede ayudar a aliviar el dolor.
