Llanto excesivo en bebés de 0 a 6 meses
Definición:
El llanto o irritabilidad excesiva en bebés de hasta 6 meses de edad se refiere a un bebé que llora con mucha frecuencia o que llora mucho.

Consideraciones generales:
Los bebés normalmente lloran de 1 a 3 horas diarias, lo que es perfectamente normal cuando desean comunicar que sienten hambre, sed, incomodidad, cansancio o soledad y es también normal que tengan un perÃodo de irritabilidad durante la noche.
Sin embargo, el llanto excesivo puede sugerir la presencia de un trastorno que requiere tratamiento.
Causas comunes:
- Aburrimiento o soledad
- Incomodidad o irritación ocasionada por un pañal mojado o sucio, por gases excesivos o por el frÃo
- Hambre o sed
- Dolor
- Enfermedad grave
- Enfermedad leve
- Medicamentos
- Infección (una causa probable si el llanto está acompañado de irritabilidad, letargo , apetito disminuido o fiebre , en cuyo caso se debe consultar con el pediatra)
- Contracciones y sacudidas musculares normales que perturban el sueño
- Dentición
- Cólicos
